Located in the Scottish Inner Hebrides, the name “Lismore” is thought to come from the Gaelic 'Lios Mòr' meaning "great garden", it is an idyllic setting no matter where you find yourself. The population of Lismore is approximately 170 residents, it measures approximately 19 kilometres long and by 2.5 kilometres at its widest point. It boasts over 300 different types of plants and an abundance of wildlife, otters, seals, deer and is a bird watchers paradise.
At the northern side of this idyllic island, with views on to the Pictish Broch and situated at the end of the single-track road are our two lovely holiday homes nestled amongst 100 acres of croft land. If you are looking for a traditional retreat to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life then Balure is the place for you, at the end of the road with no passing traffic except sheep and cattle. This is both a truly unique and relaxing experience.
Take in the views of the surrounding mountains of Ben Nevis, Ben
Cruachan and the Morven hills which are all are breath-taking and
stunning, alongside the rugged coastline which only an island can offer. This is both a truly unique experience and relaxing getaway.
Our Homes
Welcome to our two neighbouring holiday homes, Balure Croft and “The Old House”.
The two properties at Balure Croft are each unique in their own way. Balure Farm house is a traditional three bedroom croft home, whilst the Old House, retaining its’ original name, is a newly renovated one bedroom cottage. Both provide amazing self catering accommodation which will ensure you have a comfortable home from home stay on Lismore.
